Liverpool manager Sloot said Salah remains an important member of the team.

Following Liverpool's 2-0 victory over Brighton, manager Arne Sloot addressed concerns about Mohamed Salah's current form, clearly stating that the key striker remains a crucial figure in the team's plans.

At the post-match press conference, when asked about the reason why Salah did not travel with the team to play against Inter Milan, Sloot admitted that the incident stemmed from an interview, but emphasized that as the head coach, he would always make different judgments on such issues.

“Everyone has different opinions, and every coach will make their own decisions,” Sloot said. He added that he had spoken with Salah but declined to reveal the content of the conversation, emphasizing that actions speak louder than words. He noted that Salah has been reinstated to the matchday squad.

In the match against Brighton, Salah, though not a starter, came on as a substitute and performed actively, not only dominating the attacking tempo but also providing an assist for Ekittik's goal from a corner kick. Sloot said, "He became a threat immediately after coming on, which is the most important value of an attacking player."

Salah's post-match applause to the fans also drew attention. Sloth commented, "The fans deserve our gratitude. The team put in a tremendous effort to keep a clean sheet and finally had a bit of luck. Mo will be going to the Africa Cup of Nations next; hopefully, he'll perform well."

Regarding the contract renewal and future prospects that have garnered much attention, Sloot has consistently maintained a cautious stance, stating that he never publicly discusses private conversations with players. In his view, Salah is currently no different from any other player in the team, and he will not hesitate to use the Liverpool legend whenever the team needs him.
