Marco Silva: We deserve to advance, and we should also win the match.

After defeating Stoke City away in the fourth round of the FA Cup, manager Marco Silva gave an interview to the media.

After the match, Marco Silva said: "These kinds of matches are often very tricky. We knew that we had to prove ourselves to a strong team, and in these kinds of matches, there is always uncertainty, and anything can happen."

"Whether at home or away, against Premier League, Championship, League One or League Two teams, the games are never easy. We once again demonstrated our commitment to these kinds of competitions. Even with a large rotation, the players proved their ability, and many of them are fully capable of starting in any Premier League match."

"The start of the match was indeed difficult, but I'm satisfied with the team's overall control of the game. I think the whole team remained calm enough. In the end, we deserved to advance and deserved to win this match."

“Although we were behind at halftime, the chances we created in the first half could have made the score completely different. We made some adjustments at halftime while maintaining our trust in the players. I told them that controlling the tempo of the game was crucial for us.”

From an individual perspective, some players performed exceptionally well. Overall, the team's performance was also satisfactory. Aside from the goal conceded, the defense demonstrated sufficient stability.

Marco Silva continued, "This match is significant for some players. The return of Rodrigo Muniz and Josh King is crucial for the team, as they have both suffered injuries of varying degrees. We all know how effective their partnership was at the beginning of the season."

“Oscar Bob played exceptionally well, showcasing his abilities in limited playing time. Kevin also performed admirably, creating numerous threats and excellent opportunities on the left wing.”
