Maresca: Money can't win matches or titles

"Money doesn't win titles," Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca said ahead of Thursday's UEFA Conference League semi-final first leg against Djurgarden.
The Swedish side have assembled a squad for a fraction of the more than £1 billion spent on signings at Stamford Bridge over the past three seasons.
However, Chelsea have already been upset in Europe this season. In the last round, they lost to Legia Warsaw at home. Although they eventually advanced on aggregate, the defeat exposed their loopholes, which may be exploited by the Swedish team in Stockholm.
"You can't win games and titles with money alone, we know that very well," Maresca said. "It doesn't matter how much money is spent in the transfer market."
"You don't win championships by spending a lot of money. You need to spend money, but spend it right."
