The Athletic's resident renowned Minnesota Timberwolves team correspondent Jon Krawczynski, reported on Tuesday that the team's shooting guard Anthony Edwards was fined $50,000 for swearing at a fan and making indecent gestures.

According to Krawczynski's report, the fine was based on Edwards' behaviour in the first round of the playoffs between the Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Lakers last Saturday (April 19).

During a timeout in the third quarter of the game, Edwards shouted to a fan who complained about his teammate Rudy Gobert's poor performances, saying: "He is worth $200-300 million, what do you have?!"

Afterwards, he grabbed his private parts and swore at the fan and made a series of indecent gestures to him. All the processes were filmed and quickly spread across the Internet, causing heated discussions.

It is worth mentioning that this is already not the first time that Edwards has behaved in such an inappropriate manner.

Before this, he has had several cases of shouting at opponents, swearing at fans and referees, and making inappropriate behaviours during the game.

In addition to his 18th technical foul, Edwards has been fined $380,000 by the NBA so far this season, and was even nearly suspended for one game.

This season, Edwards averaged 25.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the regular season, with a three-point shooting percentage of 36.0% and a free throw shooting percentage of 83.1%.
