Napoli officially announces the signing of Girona left-back Miguel Gutiérrez on a five-year contract

Napoli announced on Tuesday the signing of Spanish left-back Miguel Gutiérrez from Girona, signing a five-year contract until June 30, 2030.
The 24-year-old Miguel Gutiérrez came from Real Madrid's youth training and made his first-team debut in La Liga on April 21, 2021. He made 10 appearances for Real Madrid, provided 2 assists, and won one Champions League and one La Liga title with the team.
In August 2022, Gutierrez transferred to Girona for €13 million. To date, he has made 112 appearances for Girona, scoring 6 goals and providing 19 assists.
According to various reports, the base fee for the transfer is €18 million. Including variable bonuses, the total could reach as much as €20 million. Real Madrid, Gutiérrez's former club, will receive 50% of the €18 million.
After completing the transfer, Gutierrez said: "When Napoli invited me, I accepted without hesitation. This city, the people here and the enthusiasm of the fans are everything I have always longed for."
