After completing his joining rmalities procedures, Calvert-Lewin who was interviewed by the Leeds United official website for the first time, said: "I'm really excited. Walking onto the pitch today felt like the first day of school."
"I feel like a kid again, just starting life in a new place. I can't wait to play for this club and for them."
"For me, this is a big club with a huge fan base. I've played at Elland Road before and remember how amazing the passion and enthusiasm of the fans was."
"I really, really want to be a part of this club. I spoke to the manager beforehand and we had a really good chat. He's a centre-forward himself."
"So, he explained to me what life is like as a centre-forward. He made me feel really understood and I'm really excited to be working with him here. The team's formation, and the formation we used last season, is really appealing to me."
"I've been playing in the Premier League for a while now, so I think everyone is familiar with my style of play, but I also think there are other aspects of my game that I can showcase, even if I haven't shown them enough."
"I'm looking forward to unlocking those aspects, continuing to do what I do well, but also bringing new aspects to my game. So I'm looking forward to seeing the whole Elland Road stadium from a different perspective as a Leeds United player."
