The Golden State Warriors announced on Sunday that they have signed Ermel Yurtseven to a 10-day contract. According to the official announcement, he will wear jersey number 77.

Yurtsevin, 27, is a 2.13-meter tall, 125-kilogram Turkish center who made his NBA debut at the age of 15 with Fenerbahce. An undrafted player in 2020, he spent three years in the NBA playing for the Miami Heat and the Utah Jazz, accumulating 113 regular season games, averaging 5.0 points and 4.6 rebounds in 11.8 minutes per game, with a 53.5% field goal percentage and a 21.4% three-point percentage.

Yurtseven also played in the playoffs with the Heat. According to ESPN, he played a total of 17 games in the playoffs, averaging only 1.7 points in 3.2 minutes per game.

In August 2024, Yurtseven signed a two-year contract with Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos. After leaving Panathinaikos this March, he opted to play in the NBA Development League, where he has so far played three games for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Houston Rockets' affiliate, averaging 23.0 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 29.7 minutes per game, with a 56.9% field goal percentage.

For the Warriors, signing Ulteside is primarily to fill the void in the frontcourt caused by a wave of injuries. They are expected to observe Ulteside's integration during his contract period and assess whether he is suitable for the rotation.

Yurtseven also made his Warriors debut in today's game against the New York Knicks. He played a total of 13 minutes, missing all three of his shots and grabbing 4 rebounds. In the end, the Warriors lost to the Knicks 107-110, suffering their fifth consecutive loss.

According to the latest injury report, the Warriors will be missing eight players for this game, including Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis, Seth Curry, and De'Anthony Melton.
