Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner says that while their performance in the third round will be noteworthy, the result against Millwall and progress in the Carabao Cup are more crucial.  

Crystal Palace looked on the verge of a crucial victory in the south London derby when Chris Richards found the net from a set-piece. However, Palace conceded an equaliser as the match entered stoppage time and then missed another good opportunity to take the lead.  

The game went into a penalty shootout, with Crystal Palace converting all four penalties and defeating their opponents 4-2 thanks to two key saves by Walter Benítez, who made his debut.  

In the post-match press conference, Oliver Glasner said: "It's simple to sum up. The performance was not good, but the result is satisfactory. That's it. We are currently unbeaten. This is the eighth game of the season."  

"Now, we are more focused on the fight in the game rather than just the result. So we are fighting for points and wins rather than just finishing the game."  

"I know there are always moments like this in the game, but we will play better, perform better and we will win. It feels good to be in the next round unbeaten. At the moment, the unbeaten streak means a lot to us."
