Oliver Glasner believes the team showed a persistent drive to score during the match.

Oliver Glasner praised Crystal Palace's 3-1 victory over AZ Alkmaar at Selhurst Park, commending the team's resilience and ability to consistently create attacking opportunities. Despite missing a penalty in the first half, Crystal Palace controlled the game in front of their home fans and ultimately secured the win.

Ismaila Salme scored twice, giving Crystal Palace a much-needed breather and ultimately helping the team secure the three well-deserved points. Oliver Glasner expressed his satisfaction with the players' relentless pursuit of goals in south London.

Oliver Glasner said: "The atmosphere at Selhurst Park was very intense, and this 3-1 victory over AZ Alkmaar was very important, but also expected. They reached the league semifinals two years ago, so they are a very strong team. Especially in the first 10 to 15 minutes of the game, we were caught off guard, and their intensity surprised us."

"After about 10 to 15 minutes, we shifted the game more to the opponent's half and frequently entered the attacking third. I think we dominated the first half with physical duels and set pieces. Even though we missed the penalty, we maintained our focus and tenacity."

"The start of the game looked like a typical league match, just like our previous game against Larnaca, where we missed a lot of chances. But today the team performed exceptionally well, showing resilience and sustained fighting spirit, which was key to our victory."

“I think it was only natural for us to take the lead in the first half. We also discussed the game, and I think our attacking trident could have performed better. The opponent used a man-marking high-pressing strategy, and our positioning was not good enough, and we lost possession too easily.”

“There was one excellent attack in the game. After Jean-Philippe Mateta controlled the ball, his teammate made a run, and Ismaila Sarr delivered a brilliant pass, which led to a beautiful shot. After that, we gradually took control of the game, and these three points are very important for us. We are currently in a very good position with six points, and we will continue to focus on the game against Brighton on Sunday.”
