Israeli goalkeeper Daniel Peretz hinted on Tuesday that he could leave Hamburg early in January.
The 25-year-old Peretz joined Hamburg on loan from Bayern Munich in July, with a contract valid until June 30, 2026. However, he has been serving as Daniel Hoyle Fernandes' backup goalkeeper in Hamburg and has not yet been given a chance to play for even a minute.
In an interview with Israel's Sport 5 channel, Peretz expressed his dissatisfaction with his current situation: "I am disappointed that I did not play in Hamburg. I thought I would get a chance to play, but I did not expect to be put on the bench. I am trying to deal with this situation."
Peretz then hinted that he would not rule out leaving the club in the winter transfer window: "Maybe there will be changes in January because I really want to play."
Peretz came through the youth academy of Maccabi Tel Aviv and moved to Bayern Munich for €5 million in August 2023. Since making his debut in the first round of the German Cup on September 26, 2023, he has made seven appearances for Bayern Munich, keeping two clean sheets.
