In the 89th minute, Wirtz was injured and replaced by Wataru Endo. In the second half, in stoppage time, a cross from Džekeres was headed past Zuvemendi, but it was blocked. Then, a pass from Gakpo was met by Chiesa, who fired a long shot from the top of the penalty area, but it went wide.

In the end, Liverpool beat Arsenal 1-0 at home.
