Rafa Marin recently officially joined Villarreal Football Club and expressed great joy. Accompanied by the club's CEO Fernando Roig Negroles, he thanked the club for its trust in him and said that he would give back with diligence and determination to help the team achieve its goals.  

The defender said: "I am very excited to be joining such an outstanding club as Villarreal. I have been looking forward to this day since January and now it has finally happened. I am very much looking forward to a successful and fulfilling season."  

The new signing highlighted the reasons why he chose Villarreal, saying: "I am very honored that the club has placed their trust in me. Villarreal has performed well this season, successfully qualified for the Champions League and continues to improve. I am looking forward to the start of the new season, contributing my strength and helping the team achieve its goals."  

The Spanish U21 international joined the new team on loan after winning the Serie A title with Napoli. Despite limited playing time, he said: "I always focus on the positive side. Although I didn't play much that year, I feel stronger than two years ago, especially in terms of mental quality. And every time I got a chance to play, I proved that I deserve more game time."  

Rafa Marin fondly recalled his glorious time at Alaves. He said: "That was undoubtedly the most crucial year in my career. It was my first professional season. I needed to gain experience and I was not sure how long I could play. Fortunately, I played more than 30 times. This experience was crucial and I learned a lot from my teammates."  

"I can play in all positions at centre-back. I consider myself an intelligent player who can read the game accurately. I am also very aggressive in aerial duels. But most importantly, I hope the fans will know me through my performances and give me positive feedback."  

Finally, the Spanish defender expressed his excitement about playing for Villarreal in the Champions League, saying: "Playing in the Champions League is every child's dream. It is undoubtedly an exciting challenge. We hope to be competitive in all competitions and give it our all to see how far we can go."
