American reporter: Bucks head coach Doc Rivers is set to be inducted into the 2026 Hall of Fame.

According to a confirmation from Dallas Morning News reporter Brad Townsend on Monday, Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers, 64, is set to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2026.


During his playing career, Rivers played 13 seasons for the Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks, and San Antonio Spurs, earning an All-Star appearance in 1988. He transitioned to coaching in 1999, managing the Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Milwaukee Bucks.


To date, Rivers has accumulated a regular season record of 1191 wins and 861 losses during his 27-year coaching career, with a winning percentage of 58%. In the playoffs, he also delivered a record of 104 wins and 102 losses, with a winning percentage of 50.4%.


Rivers' most representative achievement in his coaching career is undoubtedly leading the Celtics to the NBA championship in 2008. He also led the Bucks to the 2024 NBA Cup and has won numerous honors, including the 2000 NBA Coach of the Year and four-time NBA All-Star Game head coach (2008, 2011, 2021, 2024).


The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced its final shortlist on February 11th, as follows:
