Fulham announced on Wednesday that they have completed a contract extension with Brazilian striker Rodrigo Muniz. The new contract will run from 2026 to June 30, 2030, with an option to extend for a further year.

The 24-year-old Rodrigo Muniz started his career at Flamengo's youth academy and made his first-team debut at the Rio State Championship on January 18, 2020. He won one Brazilian league title, one Brazilian Super Cup and two Rio State Championships with Flamengo before moving to Fulham for €8 million in the summer of 2021.

Due to limited playing opportunities, Muniz was loaned to Middlesbrough after joining Fulham to gain experience. However, he gradually established himself in Fulham's first team starting from the 2023/24 season.

To date, Muniz has made 104 appearances for Fulham, scoring 27 goals and providing 4 assists. He is currently recovering from a muscle injury and his return date is yet to be determined.

After completing the contract extension, Muniz said: "I thank God from the bottom of my heart. I am grateful and thank the club for the trust they have shown in me."
