On August 7, the Grand Rapids Kings, the Denver Nuggets' G League affiliate, officially announced the appointment of Ryan Bowen as their new head coach. The team also appointed Chad Isk as general manager, Nihal Kollur as assistant general manager, and Matthew Tynes as director of G League operations and scouting.

Bowen has a 10 -year NBA career, playing for the Nuggets, Rockets, Hornets, and Thunder, appearing in 507 games. Drafted by the Nuggets in 1998, he played a year in Turkey before beginning his NBA career in 1999. He played college at the University of Iowa, where he still holds the school's record for steals. After retiring, he served as a video coordinator before transitioning to coaching, spending 17 years with the Nuggets, 10 of which were as an assistant coach.

Isk will also serve as the Nuggets' vice president of professional player affairs. He has held various positions with the Nuggets since 1999, from scouting intern to video coordinator before being promoted to assistant coach in 2007. He has since held coaching positions with the 76ers, Kings, Wizards, and Hornets, returning to Denver as a pro scout in 2022.

New Assistant General Manager Collul joined the Nuggets in 2022, specializing in CBA rules, salary cap, and roster strategy. He previously worked as an MLS strategist, was selected for the NBA's inaugural " Future Basketball Operations Star " program, and is an outstanding graduate of Northwestern University.

Tynes graduated from Harvard University and served as the manager of the school's women's basketball team. She later interned with the Celtics. She joined the Gold Team in 2023 and later moved to the Nuggets to support frontcourt operations, scouting and player projects.

These multiple personnel appointments not only reflect the Nuggets system's emphasis on internal talent, but also inject more professional strength and development potential into the new season.
