Ryan Christie: This is a very satisfying result, and we are very pleased with it.

Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Christie described the team's comeback victory against Everton as crucial three points, extending their unbeaten run in the Premier League to six games. The Scotland international made his first start since September and wore the captain's armband as Bournemouth secured a 2-1 win on their first visit to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Iliman Ndiaye's penalty gave Everton the lead in the first half, but Layan and Armin Adli scored two goals in just four minutes to completely turn the tide. With 21 minutes remaining, the home team's Jack O'Brien was sent off with a red card for a foul on Adli, and Bournemouth ultimately secured an impressive away victory.

Reflecting on the victory, Ryan Christie said: "It's a fantastic result, and we're incredibly happy about it. This is always a tough away game, and the opponents created a very high-pressure atmosphere, making the match quite arduous. Even with ten men, they managed to control the tempo of the game and constantly forced us to defend in the penalty area."

"The players fought until the very last minute, which deserves high praise, especially in the last 10 to 15 minutes of the game. Our defense was very solid and successfully dealt with the opponent's long passes, and these three points were crucial for us."

When asked about the conversation at halftime, Ryan Christie said, "The key was to play more aggressively in the second half. We might have been a bit too forceful in the first half, trying to respond to the opponent in a too direct and intense way. As the pace of the game picked up, we gradually found the space we could exploit. Especially the first goal that equalized, it was a very brilliant team play. Adrian Truffaut delivered a beautiful cross, and Reijan finished at the far post."

“I think we completely controlled the game in the middle of the second half and deserved the three points with that performance. This is one of the important motivations for us to continue to compete and fight. If we can win tonight, then this period before the international break will largely determine our goals for the end of the season. We hope to push into the top half of the standings, or even higher, and a victory like tonight is an important step toward achieving that goal.”
