The Milwaukee Bucks will sign Alex Antetokounmpo to a two-way contract, ESPN's Shams Charania reported on Monday.

Alex, 24, is the youngest of Giannis Antetokounmpo's five brothers. The Bucks' move not only allows Alex to join his two older brothers, Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo, but also marks the first time in NBA history that three brothers have played for the same team and all hold official contracts.

Like his two older brothers, the 2.3-meter-tall Alex primarily plays as a forward. He spent most of his career in European leagues, playing for several teams, including UCAM Murcia, Mažeikiai, Podgorica, PAOK, and ARES.

Alex also played in the Development League for the Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks. He played for the Bucks' affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, from 2022 to 2024, averaging 5.8 points and 3.0 rebounds in 50 appearances.

Various signs indicate that the Bucks' move is intended to strengthen ties with the Antetokounmpo family and solidify their core roster. ESPN reporter Shams Charania reported last week that Antetokounmpo will decide his future based on the Bucks' start of the season. In response to speculation about a trade, Antetokounmpo admitted in an interview with ESPN: "If I change my mind in six or seven months, I think that's perfectly normal. Everyone has the right to make any decision. However, right now, I'm completely focused on the present. I'm focused on this team, my teammates, the coaching staff, and myself."

"I've said it many times before, I want to be in an environment where I have a chance to win."

If Antetokounmpo leaves the Bucks, his most likely next destination would be the New York Knicks. Charania learned that the Bucks had a brief conversation with the Knicks this summer about a trade for Antetokounmpo, and the Knicks are the only team Antetokounmpo is currently considering joining.
