In a key match of the 18th round, Liverpool defeated West Ham 5-2 thanks to goals from Ektiik, Van Dijk, McAllister, and Gakerbo. After winning four and losing one of their last five matches, Liverpool currently sit fifth in the standings with 48 points, three points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa. Therefore, the Reds must secure all three points to remain in contention for Champions League qualification.

As for Wolves, Rob Edwards' team defeated Aston Villa 2-0 at home in the last round of the Premier League. Although they are still in the relegation zone, the Wolves players have successfully carried the victory into their match against Liverpool.

"The only difference now is that both games are being played at their home ground, which is usually one home and one away in European competitions. That's the situation we're facing now, and perhaps the only ones who benefit are me and the analysis team, because we usually have to watch a lot of footage of our opponents' games."
