On August 23rd, HoopsHype reporter Michael Scotto reported that the Orlando Magic once again added a former Raptors center to their roster late in the offseason, signing 25-year-old Colin Castleton. Magic reporter Jason Beede later confirmed the contract was an Exhibit 10 contract.

Castleton signed a standard two-year contract with the Raptors in mid-April, but the contract is not guaranteed. He appeared in 11 games for the Raptors, including four starts, averaging 7.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game while shooting 50% . Although his appearances were limited, he showed some ability as a rebounder and rim protector.

However, as the Raptors' roster became saturated, Castleton was eventually waived by the team in late July, a departure that was expected given the direction of the team's young core.

The Magic have been patient in developing young players in recent years. By continuously identifying promising players, the team is gradually improving its inside and outside depth. While Castleton hasn't yet secured a starting spot, if he can demonstrate consistent performance in training camp and the G League, he could potentially earn more opportunities during the regular season.
