Trossard is looking to win every competition.

Goals from Eze and Rice secured a 2-0 victory for Arsenal in the second leg of their 2025/26 UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie. Trossard stated that the team's goal is to win every important match and continue striving to achieve their title objective.

Trossard chipped the ball in the 36th minute, and Eze received it near the edge of the penalty area before turning and firing a long-range shot into the net, giving Arsenal a 1-0 lead.

In the 63rd minute of the second half, Arsenal's attack was cleared, and Rice controlled the ball before firing a long-range shot from the edge of the penalty area to extend Arsenal's lead to 2-0.

Ultimately, Arsenal defeated Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 at home and advanced to the Champions League quarterfinals with a 3-1 aggregate score.

Speaking about the assist for Eze's goal, Arsenal midfielder Trossard shared, "It was an incredible goal. Everyone could see Eze's ability, especially near the penalty area. He confidently took the shot and ultimately put the ball into the net. Goals like that might only happen once or twice in a player's career. So I'm really happy to give him the credit."

“It was a fantastic performance, especially our dominance in the first half and the number of chances we created. I think we really enjoyed playing, and that was evident throughout the game, and it was contagious to the fans in the stadium. We played exceptionally well; it was a perfect game for us.”

Besides maintaining their top spot in the Premier League standings, Arteta's Arsenal will travel to Wembley Stadium for the English League Cup final to face Manchester City in the championship.

Trossard stated, "This is very exciting, and it's one of our goals. I think everyone is ready for it. We are still competing on all fronts, and we just need to fight one game at a time. Every game is very important to us, so we want to do our best to win."

In addition, Rice, who was named the best player of the match, said, "I am very proud and very satisfied with this performance. Reaching the quarterfinals again is very important. This is an important day for the players and the club. We will continue to move forward, and there are many things to look forward to in the future."

Reflecting on her goal, Rice said, "I only saw the ball fly into the net. Looking back now, that shot was very difficult, but it all happened in an instant, and I don't really remember it clearly."

"It's very important to take a 2-0 lead against a team like this because they are really threatening, so I'm very happy with the goal and the overall performance."
