With the Indiana Pacers trailing 3-2 in the NBA Finals, the focus has been on star guard Tyrese Haliburton.

The Olympic gold medalist strained his right calf in Game 5, and whether he can play in Game 6 will be the key to the trend of the series. In the interview, Haliburton admitted: "I have to be more rational, assess the risks, and ask the right questions."

"I'm a competitor, I want to play and I'm going to do everything I can to do it. That's my attitude. I have a lot of trust in our medical staff and I have a lot of trust in the team to make the right decision. I want to play and that's my goal right now."

Indiana Pacers coach Rick Carlisle revealed that the team will conduct further tests on Haliburton on the afternoon of the game and decide whether to let him play based on the results. Carlisle said: "Our preparations are scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. He will participate in training and be evaluated before deciding whether to play."

Although Haliburton completed the training program arranged by the team on Wednesday, the actual content only included tactical explanations, tactical movement drills and light shooting. He almost stood still throughout the whole process.

Carlisle admitted that he considered not letting Haliburton play in the second half of Game 5, but the player rejected it. Carlisle praised Haliburton's performance: "He insisted on finishing the game and led the team in rebounds and assists in the second half. He is a real warrior."

Haliburton is currently trying a variety of treatments including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, electrotherapy, acupuncture and massage, hoping to recover quickly. He has played with injuries many times this season, and it is not clear whether this calf strain is related to the previous ankle injury.
