Napoli announced on its official website on Friday that Udinese's Italy international center forward Lorenzo Lucca has joined the club on-loan.

According to Napoli's official statement, Lucca will play for the club on-loan until the end of the new season, and the loan agreement includes a mandatory buyout clause.

According to a recent report from Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Napoli will pay Udinese €35 million to mandatorily buyout of Lucca's ownership.

This transfer also confirms Romano's recent report that I Partenopei has given up on signing Liverpool's Uruguay international forward Darwin Núñez.

About Lorenzo Lucca

The 24-year-old Lucca was born in Moncalieri, Italy on September 10, 2000. He is 2.01 meters tall and plays as a center forward.

Lucca joined the youth academy of a local non-league club in Turin at the age of 5, and joined the Torino youth academy at the age of 8. In 2015, he moved to Chieri's youth academy, but was released the following year.

After leaving Chieri, Luvca joined the non-league club Atlético Torino in July 2016, and three months later, completed his first-team debut when he was still only 16 years old at the time.

In the summer of 2017, Lucca joined Vicenza, and after returning to Torino the following summer, he was immediately loaned-out to Brescia's U23s team.

On the 2020 winter transfer window deadline day, Lucca joined Palermo as a free agent.

During his time with I Rosanero, Lucca won Serie D with the club.

In July of the following year, Lucca joined Pisa for €1 million.

In August 2022, Lucca was loaned-out to Ajax, but his performances were not good.

In July of the following year, Lucca was loaned-out to Udinese, and his ownership was later officially bought out in the summer of 2024.

During his two-year spell with Le Zebrette, Lucca played 75 times for the Serie A club in all competitions, scoring 23 goals and providing 6 assists.
