Wolves' video column "Loan Wolf" has launched a new issue, focusing on the young left-back Hugo Bueno's loan years at the Dutch Eredivisie giants Feyenoord.
In the 2024-25 season, Bueno went to Rotterdam to play, accumulating 30 first-team appearances and participating in the Champions League, constantly honing himself in the challenges. In the documentary, Bueno reviewed how he adapted, improved and demonstrated his strength step by step in the new environment.
Bueno said: "I know I need to go further. I played a lot of games last season, but you always want more. So I chose to come here to play more games, show myself, learn and grow. In a new league, you can learn a lot."
The most memorable moment for him was the crucial assist against AC Milan at the San Siro. Bueno said: "This will be a moment I will never forget. You always dream of playing at this level, and when you can really make an impact, the feeling is unparalleled."
The film also includes clips of Bueno's appearances at Feyenoord's home ground, including his starting debut in the 4-0 win over PEC Zwolle. After the game, head coach Robin van Persie praised Bueno's performance at the press conference and fully affirmed his stable performance on the left.
In addition to the game, Bueno also talked about his life in Rotterdam and the changes in his mentality. Bueno admitted that this journey made him more mature and comprehensive, and he was more eager to return to Wolves to fight for a place.
