Unai Emery stated that Aston Villa will give their all to recover from the 1-3 defeat at Old Trafford. Despite their recent strong league performances, they suffered a disappointing loss to Manchester United.  

Manager Unai Emery believes the team's defeat in Manchester stemmed primarily from individual player errors. He stated, "We played well in the first half, but it wasn't enough. Sometimes we were able to control the game according to plan and limit their scoring."  

“Our defense was solid and we didn’t concede many goals. Ollie Watkins created a good chance for the team, and the first half was evenly matched. But we failed to maintain our advantage in the second half, and the opponent took more control and scored a goal.”  

“Our reaction was very timely, and we successfully equalized. This crucial moment gave us the opportunity to re-execute our game plan, or to seize the chance to score a second goal like Tammy Abraham did. However, we also gave the opponent some space to counter-attack, and they took advantage of the opportunity to score. Their goal gave them the lead, and the rest of the game will be more challenging for us.”  

“We gave it our all, but the opponent capitalized on several quick counter-attacks to score the third goal. Although we created some chances, our overall performance was disappointing. We lost control of the game at times, which was very unfortunate. Through these goals, the opponent demonstrated the advantage they have gained in their transition.”  

Aston Villa still have several matches to play in the domestic league and European competitions, with eight rounds remaining in the Premier League top flight. The new week is crucial for the team, as they will host Lille and West Ham United.  

Unai Emery continued: “The team still has games to play and points to earn, and the overall performance this season is still commendable. We must react and restore order to the game, just as we have been working hard to maintain in daily training. We accomplished some positive things today, and the next challenge will be against Lille, followed by a home game against West Ham United.”  

"The team needs to stay united, work together with the fans, and fully support everyone. We must continue to work hard like we are now to strive for better results. Although we lost the game today, we will continue to move forward and carry on our previous spirit."
