Scotland, the "Highland Warriors," will travel to Greece for their next Group C match in the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. Manager Steve Clarke stated that his team's chances of qualifying for the World Cup finals increase as long as the players give 100% effort.

In the previous round of World Cup qualifiers, Scotland defeated Belarus 2-1 thanks to goals from Che Adams and McTominay. Scotland currently sits second in Group C with 10 points, tied with first-placed Denmark.

Scotland manager Steve Clarke said in an interview, "We need every player to perform more. In the next two games, every player in the team needs to play their part. We need them to be fully committed and give 100%. The more players perform at their best on the pitch, the greater our chances of winning will be."

"The players are in good form. They were very relaxed in Turkey. Most of them have a lot of experience in big games, they know what they will encounter, and they know how to prepare to perform at their best, so we must trust that the players can do things well on the field. The players are ready, and they understand the importance of the upcoming games."

When discussing goalkeeper selection, Steve Clark said, "I'm open to different goalkeepers, and as a manager, that's what it means to be open. You have to observe the players' training and form, and then I'll make a decision. With two such important games coming up, every decision is crucial."

In addition, after the match against Greece, Scotland will return to Hampton Park to face Denmark.

Steve Clark added, "I'm only focused on the game at hand right now. We need to get a positive result in this game, at least a draw or a win. That will make the second game even more meaningful, and that's what I'm focused on right now."
