West Ham United manager Graham Potter revealed in his pre-match press conference that striker Nicklas Fellkrug's injury is positive and he is expected to return to the game against Tottenham.

Felkerug suffered calf discomfort while on international duty with Germany, missing the national team's World Cup qualifying victory over Northern Ireland and returning to the club early for treatment.

Potter said the 31-year-old striker's injury is not serious: "Except for Phil Krug who has some calf problems, the whole team is absent. He has done light training today and we will see how he responds. If all goes well, he may appear in the lineup against Tottenham."

Compared to Phil Krug, who was troubled by a minor injury, the return of Clissoncio Somerville has been a more exciting addition to the team. The Dutch winger, who had been out for nearly eight months due to a serious injury, came on as a substitute in the away win over Nottingham Forest and immediately showed his sharp breakthroughs and threat.

Regarding Somerville's return, Porter praised: "Somerville has gone through a long and difficult recovery period and suffered several setbacks during the period, but he persisted and showed excellent psychological quality. Seeing him return and enjoy the game again is a great encouragement to the team."

West Ham United will host Tottenham Hotspur on September 14th in the fourth round of the Premier League. The team secured their first win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest before the international break. With Phil Krug potentially returning and Somerville officially back in the fold, the team's attacking firepower and squad depth are both improving.
