Prominent English independent Liverpool team correspondent David Lynch, reported on Thursday that Liverpool currently still has no intention of sacking head coach Arne Slot.
According to Lynch's report, as Slot himself said in his pre-match press conference, Liverpool's owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), still have faith in Slot and are willing to give him time and opportunity to improve the team's current horrible form.
Chief Football Executive Michael Edwards continues to support the Dutch coach and has granted the entire club a day off this Friday (November 28th) to relax and unwind, reducing the psychological impact of pressure and negative emotions, so that the team can approach this weekend's match with a more positive mindset.
He also said that, recognizing the escalating speculation about Slot's potential sacking, Sporting Director Richard Hughes deliberately moved the pre-match press conference, originally scheduled for Friday, to Thursday to convey the message that Slot still has the support of FSG.

He said, despite the very negative public opinion and views surrounding Slot, neither Hughes, Edwards, nor any FSG executive has yet begun discussions with any coach regarding Liverpool's managerial position.
Lynch revealed that although there are rumours online which claimed that Hughes has begun approaching the agent of Germany national team head coach Julian Nagelsmann, to his knowledge, this is merely hearsay from some obscure rumour mongers.
Because the tactics Slot is currently using for Liverpool are very similar to those used when the team considered Brazili international attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho as a key player, some netizens have speculated that Liverpool might consider hiring their former manager, Brendan Rodgers.
However, Lynch added that FSG still sees a very slim chance of reuniting with Brendan Rodgers, and therefore will not hastily sack Slot until they find the most suitable replacement.
This situation is similar to that when Jürgen Klopp succeeded Rodgers in 2015.
Finally, Lynch also added that since Slot hinted in the pre-match press conference that he had relied too heavily on underperforming players in recent weeks, neglecting the strong performances of substitutes, it's possible he will field a completely different starting lineup this weekend.
If this is the case, Federico Chiesa is likely to get his long-awaited starting opportunity.
Japan national team captain Wataru Endo may also get his first start in a year since Klopp's departure, despite Ryan Gravenberch being uninjured.
