Marco Silva was extremely unhappy with Fulham conceding a goal against Manchester City. A fierce attack in the 15th minute of the first half proved to be the turning point, with the home side securing a point thanks to goals from Antoine Semenho, Nico O'Reilly, and Erling Haaland.  

After the match, Marco Silva said: "The performance was not ideal, definitely not good enough. Of course, as always, we must remain humble and congratulate our opponents. There is no doubt that Manchester City played better than us, that's simple. But from our own perspective, the team still did not perform to its expected level."  

“We anticipated that Manchester City might start with a high press, but it was clear that we didn’t achieve the expected level of possession. In the first half, Manchester City used one-on-one defense for most of the time, and we struggled to break through. However, there were a few chances, such as when the score was 1-0, Harry Wilson seized the opportunity to equalize, and that’s why.”  

“Even so, overall, the team’s performance was not up to par. This game was not ideal; we conceded some goals that we shouldn’t have. With the first goal, we tried to clear the ball, but it didn’t roll in the right direction and ended up at Antoine Semenio’s feet.”  

"The second goal we conceded was also due to our failure to effectively prevent counter-attacks. Erling Haaland was facing a two-on-one situation, and we should have handled it better at that moment. Just seconds earlier, Harry Wilson had a chance to equalize."  

“It’s simple, Manchester City are stronger than us. Nevertheless, we didn’t play our best, but Harry Wilson still had a chance to equalize. Before the end of the first half, Raul also had a great one-on-one opportunity against Donnarumma. In games like this, even if you’re not in good form, you have to seize the opportunity decisively. We failed to do that, which led to us falling behind in the first half.”  

"The second half was clearly different. Manchester City didn't continue their high press after taking the lead; instead, they adjusted their tactics. We controlled the game better, and neither side created many chances. I think the two teams were evenly matched in the second half. Of course, we congratulate Manchester City, but we are fully capable of doing better, and we are still not satisfied with our performance."
