Official: LA Galaxy extend former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus' contract until December 2027.

The Los Angeles Galaxy announced over the weekend that they have extended the contract of German midfielder Marco Reus. The new contract will extend from this December to December 31, 2027, when Reus will be 38 years old.
Marco Reus joined the Los Angeles Galaxy as a free agent in August 2024, and has since contributed 9 goals and 13 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions. His most significant achievement since joining the Galaxy is winning the 2024 MLS Cup.
Before embarking on his MLS journey, Reus played for Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund for 12 seasons. Statistics show he made 429 appearances for Dortmund, scoring 170 goals and providing 131 assists, winning two German Cup titles and three German Super Cup titles with the team.
Regarding the contract extension, LA Galaxy General Manager Will Kuntz explained: "Marco brings exceptional quality, experience, and leadership to our team. His professionalism and daily standards inspire everyone around him. His influence, both in the locker room and on the pitch, is immeasurable. We are delighted that he will continue to play an important role at the club."
