"Our mistakes prevented us from taking the three points," said Ruben Vargas. "We had the chance to score the second goal and things might have been different. We had to play more calmly, even though we controlled the tempo, but that's football. If you don't score, the opponent will take their chances, that's reality."

Sevilla captain Malcom said after the game: "We started well and strictly implemented the pre-match plan. But in the second half we lost focus and fell behind our opponents. Real Mallorca took advantage of our mistakes and led to an unfavorable situation."

Juan Sanchez said: "We played very well, controlled the tempo of the game and kept working hard. Even after the start of the second half, we were still in control of the situation. But after a short 5-minute mistake, we lost a good chance to score. When we equalized the score, we had just made a substitution and the opponent had not yet fully adjusted."  

"It was really difficult to concede two goals in just eight minutes. Personally, I'm happy to be back in the starting lineup and partner with Carmona in defense. We have a good understanding of each other and it feels great to play alongside him. We still have chances to go."
