On September 26 , the Miami Heat officially announced that they had signed a one-year contract with former player Precious Achiuwa. The 2020 first -round pick returned to the Heat jersey after several years.

Achiuwa played for the New York Knicks last season, but due to the team's trade for Karl - Anthony Towns and the presence of big men like Mitchell Robinson, his playing time was significantly reduced, contributing only 6.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game on 50% shooting . In a crowded rotation, he struggled to fully utilize his strengths.
