Fenerbahçe officially announce the signing of Lazio's France international midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi..

Fenerbahçe announced on their official website on Thursday that the club have signed France international midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi from Lazio.

According to the Turkish Süper Lig giants' official statement, Guendouzi has signed on a long-term four-and-a-half-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030. He will also wear the number 6 jersey which was vacated following the departure of Ghana international center-back Alexander Djiku.

After completing his transfer procedures, Guendouzi, who was interviewed by the Fenerbahçe official website for the first time, said: "First of all, I want to thank everyone who contributed to this transfer. It wasn't easy. From the first time I heard about it, I really wanted to come here, and I did."

"I feel very proud. Fenerbahçe is one of the greatest clubs in the world with a glorious history. Our president also introduced me to our club, our fans, and our goals. I'm very happy and excited to be here."
