Carrick confirms Martinez's imminent return; several key players' return dates are also approaching.

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick recently gave a pre-match interview to the club's official media, providing a detailed update on the team's injury situation, a matter of great concern to fans.

In an interview, Carrick revealed that Lisandro Martinez, the key defender, is not seriously injured and is expected to return to the field soon.

In the 1-0 away win against Everton, Martinez, who had started five consecutive matches, missed the game due to a minor injury sustained before the match. Carrick gave a positive outlook on whether the Argentine international will be fit for Sunday's Premier League home game against Crystal Palace.

Carrick made it clear that Martinez would not be absent for long: "Hopefully it's just a matter of a few days, not too long. We will assess him in the next day or two to see how he is doing."

Patrick Chinazaekere Dolgu, who suffered a serious injury after scoring a brilliant goal against Arsenal in January, is still in a long recovery period. Carrick revealed his latest progress: "Actually, Patrick is still a few weeks away from returning, but he is recovering very well. Lisandro 's return is much closer than Patrick's."

Two other key players, Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt, also missed the last league match, but their return plans are progressing steadily. Carrick said: "Mason is getting closer to returning, and Matthijs is a little behind, but if we can get the boys back, we will get them back on the field as soon as possible."

With a packed schedule in full swing, Manchester United will quickly move to Newcastle United for an away game next Wednesday after their home game this weekend.
