Bayern Munich cruised to a 4-0 victory over Werder Bremen on matchday 5 of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season at the Allianz Arena on Friday.

In the first half, Tah scored with a backheel half-volley and Kane found the net with a penalty kick. In the second half, Kane shoveled the ball into the net, Boniface's goal was disallowed, and Laimer found the net with a difficult angle volley. Ultimately, Bayern Munich triumphed 4-0 over Werder Bremen. Following this round of match, Bayern maintains their lead on the table with15-points, while Werder sits in 14th place with 4 points.

First Half

In the fifth minute, Bayern Munich launched a quick counterattack. Michael Olise intercepted the ball and passed made a straight pass from the front. Harry Kane quickly followed up, got the ball and took a few steps before taking a left-foot shot into the center of the box against the outrushing Karl Hein, but his shot was saved by the latter.

In the 22nd minute, Olise crossed into the box from the right wing. Upon the receiving the pass, Jonathan Tah volleyed the ball into the bottom left corner with his right heel from the center of the box, giving Bayern Munich the lead 1-0! This is the former Bayer Leverkusen defender's first goal since joining Bayern this summer!

4 minutes later, Bayern launched a quick counterattack. Leon Goretzka intercepted the ball and passes horizontally from the left wing. Kane got the ball and took a few steps before volleying with his left foot from the left side of the box, but his shot was blocked by his outstretched legs.

In the 44th minute, Kane dribbled into the right side of the box but was brought down by Marco Friedl. The referee immediately blew the whistle to award Bayern a penalty! Kane took the penalty himself and scored with his right foot, extending Bayern Munich's lead to 2-0! Kane maintained his previous streak of 18 penalties scored without missing!

In the third minute of first-half stoppage time, Kane passes horizontally from near the midfield center circle. Serge Gnabry quickly followed up, got the ball and took a few steps before firing a right-footed long shot from outside the penalty area, but his shot was deflected off Karim Coulibaly and then saved by Hein.

At the end of the first half, Bayern Munich led Werder Bremen 2-0 going into the break.

Second Half

Both the teams switched sides as the match continued. In the 54th minute, Kane passed back from the front. Upon receiving the pass, Gnabry fired a right-footed long shot from the edge of the penalty area, but his shot went just slightly over the crossbar.

4 minutes later, Romano Schmid made a straight pass from the right wing. Yukinari Sugawara quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, took a right-footed shot at a difficult angle from the right side of the box, but his shot was saved by Manuel Neuer.

In the 65th minute, Luis Díaz passes horizontally from the left side of the box. Upon receiving the pass, Kane shoveled the ball into the bottom right corner corner of the net from the center of the box with his right foot, scoring his second goal of the game. Bayern Munich secured a 3-0 victory! With this goal, the England captain reached the personal milestone of scoring 100 goals for Bayern! He also broke the record as the fastest player in Bayern's history to reach this milestone!

9 minutes later, Konrad Laimer made a straight pass from the left wing. Luis Díaz quickly followed up, got the ball, dribbled and cuts into the center of the box before firing a powerful right-footed shot, but his shot went just wide of the top right corner of the post.

In the 77th minute, Raphaël Guerreiro passes horizontally from the right wing. Michael Olise quickly followed up, got the ball and took a few steps before striking the ball from a very close distance in the box against Hein with his right foot, but his shot was blocked by the latter's outstretched legs.

6 minutes later, Díaz passes horizontally from the left wing. Nicolas Jackson quickly followed up, got the ball and dribbled into the center of the box before firing a right-footed shot against the outrushing Hein, but his shot was saved by the latter.

In the 85th minute, Bayern Munich made a crucial mistake. Joshua Kimmich misplayed his pass while clearing the ball from deep. Marco Grüll intercepted the ball and passed it forward. Victor Boniface stopped the ball, adjusted his angle, and volleyed the ball into the bottom left corner of the net with his right foot from the center of the box. However, the linesman immediately flagged offside! Bayern and Kimmich escaped a disaster!

2 minutes later, Tom Bischof made a straight pass from the left wing. Konrad Laimer quickly followed up, got the ball and took a few steps before volleying the ball into the bottom right corner of the net with his left foot at a difficult angle from the left side of the box. Bayern Munich 4-0 Werder Bremen!
