Aston Villa secured a dramatic late 2-1 win over Arsenal on matchday 15 of the Premier League season at Villa Park on Sunday.

In the first half, Eberechi Eze's lapse in concentration in his own penalty area created an opportunity for Cash to score from a difficult angle. In the second half, Trossard tapped the ball into the net from a close range. In the crucial final moments, Buendia scored on a rebound before the final whistle was blown. Ultimately, Aston Villa secured a late 2-1 win over Arsenal. Following this match, Arsenal, whose four-month unbeaten run in the league came to an end, remain top of the table with 33 points, though the gap has narrowed significantly; Villa, on a seven-game winning streak, have moved into third place with 30 points.

First Half

In the 10th minute, John McGinn made a through ball from the midfield center circle. After beating the offside trap, Ollie Watkins quickly followed up, got the ball, dribbled and cuts into the center of the box before striking the ball with his left foot, but his shot was saved by David Raya.

In the 36th minute, Pau Torres crossed into the box from the left wing. After beating the offside trap Matty Cash, taking advantage of Eze's lapse in concentration, quickly followed up and upon receiving the pass, half-volleyed the ball into the bottom left corner of the net from the right side of the box with his right foot, giving Aston Villa a 1-0 lead!

At halftime, Aston Villa temporarily led Arsenal by 1-0.

Second Half

Both teams switched sides as the match continued. In the 52nd minute, Arsenal launched a deadly quick counter-attack. Bukayo Saka passes horizontally from the right side of the box. His pass was initially blocked and cleared off not far away by Ezri Konsa, After quickly following up and picking up the loose ball, Leandro Trossard pushed the ball into the bottom left corner of the net from a very close distance in the box with a right-footed follow-up shot. Arsenal equalized 1-1 against Aston Villa! This is the Belgium international forward's sixth goal of the season, who scored shortly after coming on as a substitute!

12 minutes later, Aston Villa launched quick counter-attack. Morgan Rodgers passes horizontally from the midfield center circle. Watkins quickly followed up,  got the ball and dribbled into the right side of the box before volleying with his left foot against the outrushing Raya, but his shot was saved by the latter.

In the 69th minute, Saka passes horizontally from the right wing. Martin Ødegaard quickly followed up and stopped the ball before taking a left-footed long shot from outside the box, but his shot was spectacularly tipped over the crossbar by Emiliano Martínez.

In the 78th minute, Cash delivered long pass from his own back half, which was blocked and cleared off not far away by Riccardo Calafiori. Donyell Malen quickly following up and upon picking up the loose ball, and volleyed with his right foot from the right side of the box, but his shot went just slightly wide of the bottom left corner of the post.

In the 5th minute of stoppage time, Rodgers' cross from the right wing caused chaos in the box. Boubakar Kamara picked up the loose ball and passes horizontally from the center of the box, where Emiliano Buendía took a right-footed follow-up shot that flew into the top right corner of the net, which left Raya helpless upon receiving the pass to help Aston Villa secure a dramatic late 2-1 win! This is the Argentina international attacking midfielder's fifth goal of the season!

When the final whistle is blown, Aston Villa defeated Arsenal 2-1 in a dramatic turn of events.
