Jordan Pickford: The team will adjust its form to cope with the upcoming busy schedule.

Following Everton's narrow 0-1 defeat to league leaders Arsenal, Jordan Pickford stated that the team will unite and fight hard to regain morale for their match against Burnley at Turf Moor. At Hill Dickinson Stadium, Victor Dzekeresh secured the victory with a penalty after VAR ruled that Jack O'Brien had handled the ball in the penalty area.

After the game, Jordan Pickford said, "Our overall defense was very good and we didn't give the opponent many opportunities. Although we were under pressure at times, we didn't create enough offensive chances, and I don't think we posed a significant threat to them."

"The outcome of this match often hinges on subtle differences, which explains why they are currently at the top of the league. Their defense is very solid and not easily breached. They scored from penalties during the match, while we failed to create many chances. However, I believe our teamwork, effort, and execution were at a very high level."

"Some games you can create a lot of chances, while others you only have one or two chances, and you have to take those. However, Arsenal rarely give their opponents chances. Look at their performance this season, they have kept about eight or nine clean sheets and conceded only six goals. They don't give their opponents chances easily, and this is not just a problem for Everton, but for almost every team that plays against them."

Despite losing to Arsenal, Everton still finished Christmas in the top half of the league table, and England's number one goalkeeper expressed confidence in the team.

He said: "We are a strong team, and Everton's defense has been very solid for the past few years and even earlier. Anyone who wears an Everton shirt understands the demands of that defense, and that's what we all expect. Every player knows that coming here means facing a tough game."

“We are not far from our goal. Last week against Chelsea, the team played well, but ultimately lost 0-2. Tonight against Arsenal, we also played very well, with a solid defense, strong pressing, and the whole team giving their all. The substitutes also contributed to the team.”

"We are close to our goal. The key is whether we can score the first goal and seize our opportunities, which we failed to do in the last two games. We will rest well and, facing the upcoming busy schedule, we need to unite, fight hard, and prepare for the subsequent games."
