Ipswich Town have announced the signing of Marcelino Nunez, with the two sides signing until the summer of 2029

Ipswich Town have officially signed Chilean midfielder Marcelino Núñez. The player has signed a four-year contract, which runs until the summer of 2029. The 25-year-old, who has played 30 times for his country and scored five goals, becomes Ipswich Town's first Chilean player.
Prior to moving to England in 2022, the midfielder played for Universidad Católica de Chile, where he made 83 appearances in all competitions and scored 11 goals. He won the Chilean top flight twice with the Santiago club and also competed in the Copa Libertadores, South America's premier club competition.
He joined Norwich before the 2022-23 season and quickly became a core player of the team. In his three seasons at Carrow Road, he made 119 appearances and scored 12 goals.
When Marcelino Nunez was first selected for the national team, he was included in the Chilean team's squad for the 2021 Copa America and made his national team debut in the World Cup qualifier against Colombia in September 2021.
He made three appearances for Norwich at the start of the 2025-26 season, scoring the winning goal in a Carabao Cup away game against Watford, before completing a move to Ipswich Town.
