Casey McAteer hopes the team can continue to maintain their form and show their positive competitive spirit

Leicester City will face Bournemouth away on the last day of the season. Cathy McAteer said the team will end the season with a positive attitude and take good momentum into the 2025/26 season, which is the team's top priority.

The focus now is on maintaining their good form until the weekend, when Leicester take on Bournemouth, who have been impressive this season.

Cathy McAteer said: "Our goal is to get three points and try to end the game with a high score. We will prepare seriously. They have been working hard to get a place in the European arena and have performed well this season. We hope to continue to maintain our good form and show a positive competitive spirit again."

"That's our goal, to get the three points and start next season with a positive attitude."

Casey McAteer fulfilled a childhood dream last week when he scored his first Premier League goal in a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town. The 23-year-old midfielder shares his journey growing up and the hard work he puts into staying competitive in the first team.

Cathy McAteer said: "It was a great moment and it was exactly what I had been longing for. Of course, I had had a few similar chances before. My previous shot hit the post and was saved by the goalkeeper, but when I touched the ball with my foot again, I was lucky enough to send the ball into the goal. I was very happy."

"Ipswich had created a couple of chances before that. We knew the second goal would give us a cushion and put us in a better position in the game. So when Wilf passed the ball to me, I only had one thought in my mind and that was to shoot.

"It was a great feeling when I scored the goal and I think you can feel the excitement from my celebration."

“I still remember clearly sitting in the stands and watching the players score goals, and I always hoped that one day I could have that moment. I am glad that on Sunday, I achieved that goal. Now I can proudly say that I did it.”
