According to an exclusive report by Sky Sports Germany on Friday, rumors that Joachim Löw might take over as head coach of the Ghanaian national team are untrue.

On March 30 local time, the Ghana Football Federation (GFA) announced the dismissal of Otto Addo as head coach of the national team. They then began searching for Addo's successor, which has drawn Joachim Löw into a vortex of related rumors.

Ghanaian football portal ghanasoccernet previously pointed out that Löw was expected to briefly coach the Ghanaian national team during the 2026 World Cup. Other reports indicate that the Ghanaian Football Federation has offered Löw a lucrative salary of €150,000 per month.

In response to the escalating rumors, Löw immediately stepped forward to refute them. He clearly told Sky Sports Germany: "Ghana has not yet made any formal contact with me."

At the same time, Löw admitted he is open to a return to coaching: "I have no plans to retire at the moment, especially now that an offer with both appeal and good prospects has come up. If I were to accept another job, my first choice would likely be the national team. In my experience, that would be the most suitable option for me."

The 66-year-old Löw has coached clubs such as Stuttgart, Fenerbahce, Karlsruhe, Adanaspor, Innsbruck, and Austria Vienna, winning one German Cup and one Austrian Bundesliga title. He has been in charge of the German national team for 15 years since taking over from Jürgen Klinsmann in 2006.

During this period, Löw led the team to an outstanding record of 125 wins, 39 draws, and 34 losses. His most representative achievements were undoubtedly leading the German team to lift the World Cup trophy in 2014 and winning the Confederations Cup in 2017.
