Official: Brighton extend contract with 20-year-old midfield starlet Hinsheelwood until 2029

Brighton & Wanderers announced on Friday that they have renewed the contract of Jack Hinsheelwood. The new contract extends the original 2028 expiry date by one year, until June 30, 2029.
Twenty-year-old Hinsheelwood comes from a footballing family in England and joined Brighton's youth academy at the age of eight. His family has a deep connection with Brighton Football Club, with his father, Adam, making over 100 appearances for the "Seagulls".
Besides Adam, Hinschelwood's grandfather Martin and uncle Martin both have close ties to Brighton. His cousin Harry Howell also came through Brighton's youth academy and has made 7 appearances for the first team this season.
On May 28, 2023, Hinsheelwood made his professional debut for Brighton as a substitute in the 38th round of the Premier League. As a versatile midfielder, he has made 70 appearances for Brighton to date, scoring 9 goals and providing 6 assists.
After finalizing the contract extension, Brighton manager Fabian Hezelle said: "We are delighted to have secured Jack's future. He has a bright future and continues to grow and improve."
