Manchester City announced on Monday that they had signed Algerian left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri from Wolves. The two sides signed a five-year contract until June 30, 2023.

According to previous reports by British media, Ait-Nouri's fixed transfer fee to Manchester City is 31 million pounds, with a floating clause of 5.3 million pounds.

The 24-year-old Ait Nouri was born in Montreuil, east of Paris, France, to Algerian parents. He came from the youth training of Angers and made his debut for the first team in Ligue 1 on August 25, 2018.

In July 2021, Ait-Nouri joined Wolves from Angers for 11 million euros. To date, he has made 157 appearances for Wolves, scoring 12 goals and providing 19 assists.

Regarding the joining of Ait-Nouri, Manchester City's football director Hugo Viana commented: "Rayan is one of the players our club has been closely following for a long time. We are very happy about his arrival. He has accumulated rich experience in the Premier League and has also demonstrated his strength in the Algerian national team."
