Tom Kenney admitted that the team failed to find much of a rhythm in the game, and the loss left them very frustrated.

Tom Kenney was frustrated that Fulham failed to maintain their upward momentum against West Ham United. In the second half, Cristiano Somerville capitalized on a defensive lapse to break the deadlock and end the team's three-game winning streak.

Tom Kenney said, "It was a pretty chaotic game, and we made a lot of unforced errors. Frankly, the skill gap between the two sides wasn't that big, but one unforced error ultimately decided the outcome. I think overall we played better, but obviously we weren't at our best."

“I think our opponents played exceptionally well defensively. They are in great form and fighting to avoid relegation, while we struggled to find our rhythm. We did create some chances and could have won a penalty. It was very disappointing because it felt like we took three steps forward and then a few steps back.”

Early in the second half, Tom Kenny was awarded a penalty during an attack when Tati Castellanos blocked him and the ball as he shot. However, after a VAR review, the referee overturned the initial decision, ruling that Tom Kenny had fouled during the attack.

When asked if he thought the penalty should have been awarded, Tom Kenney said, "Yes, because if he hadn't been there, I probably would have scored. He didn't touch the ball, and I didn't tackle him. A similar situation happened on the edge of the penalty area when the referee awarded Josh King a free kick. Josh King kicked an opponent as he was preparing to shoot, and the referee ruled that we fouled him."

“A similar situation happened to me. The referee awarded a penalty in the penalty area. But then VAR intervened, trying to find the problem and let the referee review the video to make a new decision. That’s how it happened. But if Tati hadn’t been there, I probably would have scored. I wasn’t tackling him.”
