Following their Premier League defeat to city rivals Arsenal, Trevor Chalobah stated that the team needs to deeply reflect on their performance and demonstrate greater competitiveness in upcoming matches. In this London derby, Chelsea lost 1-2, with the game largely decided by set pieces. Willian Saliba and Jorian Timber scored to give Arsenal the lead, while an own goal by Del Piero Hinkapi had brought the score back to even earlier.  

In the second half, Pedro Neto was sent off after receiving his second yellow card, forcing Chelsea to play with ten men. Despite being outnumbered, the team created several good chances to equalize late in the game. However, David Raye made several crucial saves, denying Chelsea the chance to win. After the match, Trevor Chalobah expressed his dissatisfaction with the way the team conceded goals, emphasizing that such problems must be corrected as soon as possible and lessons learned.  

Trevor Chalobah admitted: "The team must reflect on itself, especially regarding the two goals conceded from set pieces. We have put a lot of effort into set-piece training, striving for perfection in both attack and defense, while also fully recognizing Arsenal's strengths in this area. Moving forward, we will continue to improve on the details."  

“We must be clear about our responsibilities to the team as a whole and to ourselves; everyone needs to step up. We concede too many goals in set-piece defense, which is why the team is currently ranked so low.”  

Trevor Chalobah and Chelsea will face Aston Villa at Villa Park in a crucial match for the team's Champions League qualification hopes. The 26-year-old said he understands the task at hand but believes the team must rally and translate their strong performances into a victory.  

He added: "The team needs to conduct a comprehensive review and improve its strength, especially at this crucial stage of the season. We will face a series of tough matches ahead, but every game in the Premier League is a challenge. At this moment, we must maintain a positive attitude, translate our daily performances into three points, and strive to improve our ranking."
