Como 1907 officially announced that it has reached an agreement with Real Betis to permanently sign 19-year-old Spanish winger Jesus Rodriguez. After negotiations between the two sides, the young player will join the team on a permanent contract until June 2030.
Jesus Rodriguez made 32 appearances in La Liga last season and is a key member of the Spanish U21 national team, where he has performed well. He is known for his speed, talent and sharp attacking style. Before joining Como, he played in a major European final and is widely regarded as one of the most promising young players in Spanish football.
Head coach Cesc Fabregas said of the signing: "Jesus Rodriguez is exactly what Cuomo needs - fearless , direct and dynamic. He has the talent to break through defences and provoke opponents. But here it's not just about talent, it's also about character."
“We are building a family-like team that emphasizes high pressing, possession-based play and forward-thinking football. Although Jesus Rodriguez is young, he has a wealth of top-level experience and I am very much looking forward to working with him.”
After joining Como 1907, Jesus Rodríguez said: "I am very honored to be part of such an ambitious project. I come here with great enthusiasm, the desire to improve myself and to do my best to help the team achieve important goals. I am determined and motivated."
“My first impressions of the club have been very good, with a warm welcome from the club and everyone. Como is a fascinating city and I am looking forward to enjoying life here both on and off the pitch.”
