Köln announced on its official website on Wednesday that the club has signed German forward Ragnar Ache from Kaiserslautern.
According to the newly promoted Bundesliga club's official statement, Ache has signed on a long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029.
After completing his joining procedures, Ache, who was interviewed by Köln's official website for the first time, said: "When I received the call from Köln, I thought to myself: Great!"
"I am very happy that my plan to transfer to Köln was successful. I can't wait to play at the RheinEnergieStadion. In my last game for Kaiserslautern, I felt the incredible atmosphere created by the fans. Now, I hope to appear on the pitch as a Köln player and hope to show my celebrations more often."
About Ragnar Ache
Ache, 26, was born in Frankfurt, Germany on July 28, 1998. He is 1.83 meters tall and primarily plays as a center forward. He can also play as a left winger. He has dual nationality of Germany and Ghana.
Ache joined Sparta Rotterdam's youth academy at the age of 10. He started playing for Sparta Rotterdam's reserve team in August 2016 and completed his Sparta Rotterdam first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in April of the following year.
In January 2020, Ache joined Eintracht Frankfurt for €2 million.
During his two-year spell with Die Adler, Ache won the UEFA Europa League once with the club.
In June 2022, Ache was loaned-out to Greuther Fürth.
In July of the following year, Ache joined Kaiserslautern for €1 million.
During his two-year spell with Die roten Teufel, Ache played 61 times for the 2. Bundesliga club in all competitions, scoring 35 goals and assisted twice. During which he has shockingly reached the DFB-Pokal final once with the club.
