Premier League – Martin Suwaymendi scores twice as Arsenal beat Nottingham Forest 3-0


The 2025/26 Premier League season ushered in the focus of the fourth round. Arsenal, at the Emirates Stadium, defeated Nottingham Forest 3-0 with goals from Martin Subiamendi and Džekeres.


Seven minutes into the match, Ødegaard took a free kick, which was volleyed from close range by Merino in the penalty area, but the ball hit Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Mats Sells. In the 10th minute, Arsenal took a corner kick, and Gabriel's header went wide. In the 18th minute, Ødegaard, who had previously suffered an injury, was replaced by Nwaneri after failing to continue.


In the 23rd minute, Madouk organized an attack, but Nwaneri's volley was blocked by the opponent. In the 32nd minute, Madouk's corner kick was cleared, and Martin Subimendi volleyed in from the top of the penalty area, giving Arsenal the lead 1-0. In the 36th minute, Arsenal made a pass, and Martin Subimendi took a long shot, but the ball went over the goal.


In the first half stoppage time, Nottingham Forest tried to counterattack. Gibbs-White received the pass from his teammate and shot hard despite the defense, but the ball went wide.


At the start of the second half, Calafiori's long pass was met by Eze, who crossed the ball towards the goal. Dzekeres then stepped up to score, giving Arsenal a 2-0 lead over Nottingham Forest. In the 51st minute, Nottingham Forest created an attacking opportunity when N'Doye broke through the defense and crossed for Chris Wood, who attempted a shot but it hit the post.


In the 59th minute, Madouk passed the ball straight from the penalty area, and Dzekeresi's shot hit the post. In the 61st minute, Calafiori brought down Nottingham Forest winger Bakwa while trying to get the ball, for which the referee issued Calafiori a yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Timber received Madouk's pass and then made a cross. Rice rushed forward and shot, but missed the ball.


In the 79th minute, Trossard received a pass from Rice and passed it into the penalty area. Martin Subimendi jumped up and headed the ball into the goal, helping Arsenal extend their lead to 3-0.


The score remained unchanged in the following period, and Arsenal eventually defeated Nottingham Forest 3-0 at home.
