Nottingham Forest have appointed Australian manager Alex Postecoglou as their new head coach following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo. Postecoglou said in an interview that he is excited about the future and will take responsibility to get the team to where it deserves to be.

The 60-year-old Postecoglou previously coached Tottenham Hotspur and led them to win the UEFA Europa League in the 2024/25 season, successfully ending a 17-year championship drought. However, Postecoglou was eventually fired by Tottenham Hotspur.

It is worth mentioning that Nottingham Forest will participate in the UEFA Europa League in the 2025/26 season, which will be another championship that Postecoglou can lead the team to win.

Postecoglu said, "When you step into a new role, the strongest feeling is responsibility. This is a club with a glorious history, and even in recent years, the team has performed very well. I shoulder this responsibility, but I am very excited and looking forward to it. I am really happy to be here."

In addition, Nottingham Forest is currently ranked 10th in the Premier League standings with 4 points, and in the next round of the league, Nottingham Forest will go to the Emirates Stadium to challenge the strong Arsenal.
