Sky Sports' renowned Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, reported on his official YouTube channel on Monday that Manchester United have begun talks regarding the potential transfer of Newcastle United's Brazil international midfielder Bruno Guimarães.

According to Romano, Manchester United have been in talks with Bruno's agents over the past few weeks regarding a possible transfer this summer. During these talks, both sides have gained an initial understanding of the conditions that would need to be met for the transfer and the player's willingness to join the Red Devils.

However, at this stage, Manchester United have not yet reached any agreement with Bruno on personal terms, nor have they submitted any offer to Newcastle.

Romano also revealed that Bruno's contract does indeed include a £100 million release clause. However, this clause is only valid during the 2024 summer transfer window and has already expired.

In addition, Manchester United are also interested in Bruno's teammate, Italy international midfielder Sandro Tonali, but the Red Devils currently have no plans to sign both players.

Like them, Nottingham Forest's England international player Elliott Anderson is another player Manchester United admires.

Manchester United will carefully consider before deciding which player to sign and will not rush into any decisions regarding the transfer of any three players.

Furthermore, no matter how much Manchester United are interested in Bruno and Tonali, the Magpies will resolutely not decide to sell them easily.

This was clearly demonstrated by the fact that Sweden international striker Alexander Isak had to wait until the summer transfer window was almost closed before he could transfer to Liverpool last summer.
