Spain's national team coach Luis de la Fuente responded to the injury saga surrounding Lamin Yamar, emphasizing that there was no conflict between him and Barcelona, but also admitting that there was room for improvement in communication between the two sides.

Previously, the Spanish Football Federation publicly expressed its shock, stating that they learned of Yamar's groin treatment without any prior notice and were ultimately forced to remove the 18-year-old prodigy winger from the World Cup qualifying squad.

At Georgia's pre-match press conference, De la Fuente attempted to quell speculation about tensions between the national team and clubs. He stated, "We have very good relations with all the clubs, and of course, there's room for improvement in everything. We're doing well and will continue to improve."

He emphasized that the most important thing now is to protect Yamal's long-term development: "The best news is that he still has 15 years to play for the national team. We must consider both the present and the future."

Spain's performance in the World Cup qualifiers is currently near perfect, with four wins and no goals conceded, just one step away from setting a new national record of 30 consecutive unbeaten matches in official competitions. De la Fuente stated that while results are important, the team's ultimate goal is singular: to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

The Spanish national team may have a relatively young squad, but De la Fuente has great confidence in them: "I have a deep connection with these players, and I hope they all become legends and are remembered like the team from 2008 to 2012."
