Nottingham Forest striker Kalimuendo has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on loan, with a buy-out clause of €27 million.

Eintracht Frankfurt officially announced on Wednesday the loan signing of French striker Arnaud Calimuendo from Nottingham Forest until the end of the season. The loan fee for Calimuendo is €1.5 million, with an option to buy of €27 million.

If Eintracht Frankfurt decides to exercise its buy-out clause this summer, Kalimundo will receive a contract valid until 2031. His base salary is expected to be €3 million per year, plus an undisclosed bonus.

The 23-year-old Kalimhon came through the Paris Saint-Germain youth academy and made his first-team debut in Ligue 1 on September 10, 2020. He was then loaned to Lens for two seasons before officially joining Rennes in August 2022.

During his three seasons with Rennes, Kalimundo made 112 appearances, scoring 40 goals and providing 14 assists.

In August 2025, Kalimundo joined Nottingham Forest for a transfer fee of €30 million. To date, he has only made 14 appearances for Nottingham Forest and scored 2 goals, 11 of which were as a substitute.

With key striker Jonathan Bukat and substitute Mishi Batchuwai both injured before the winter break, and Elia Vahi loaned out to Nice due to poor performance, Eintracht Frankfurt, lacking firepower in attack, has high hopes for the arrival of Arnaud Kalimuendo. Frankfurt's sporting director, Markus Klösch, stated after the signing: "We have signed Arnaud Kalimuendo, a young striker who has consistently maintained a high level of performance in Ligue 1. He possesses speed, excellent positioning and ability to penetrate behind the opponent's defense, accurate shooting, and is very diligent off the ball."

Klöcke added, "We value not only his playing style and its high compatibility with the team, but also his character traits. Arnold is eager to improve, and we believe the environment in Frankfurt will help him fully realize his potential."

According to the official statement, Kalimundo will wear the number 25 jersey for Eintracht Frankfurt.
